Open House season is here again. Vice Press’s annual poster convention in Sheffield is one of the good ones, and like last year, the rest of us get a batch of online releases so the event isn’t just for the locals. Mark Levy’s variant take on The Thing keeps his stripped-down style working overtime, John J. Pearson goes fully painted for Evil Dead II, and Florey hits Mutant Mayhem with all the graffiti energy that movie deserves. The two event exclusives are fun ones. Mark Bell’s 12x12 mini pulls Mikey’s “never pay full price for late pizza” wisdom from the 1990 TMNT movie, and James Henshaw’s little A5 charity piece recreates Quint’s chalkboard shark from the Jaws town hall scene, with all proceeds going to the Edward’s Trust. The online drops go up today at 1PM ET on the Vice Press website.
